Happy new year! Hope 2016 has been kind to everyone so far. Last week my friend Michael asked on Facebook what he should do with lemon and ginger to help his man flu so thought this hot honey, lemon and ginger recipe might be useful for others too during the winter months. I store the infusion in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
Hot Honey Lemon & Ginger Drink
Ingredients
For the lemon & ginger infusion:
juice of 1 large or 2 small lemons
a piece of fresh ginger about 8-10cm long, peeled and finely grated
To make the drink:
3-4 tbsp of lemon and ginger infusion to taste
1 tsp honey or more to taste
splash of whisky, optional
boiling water
To make the infusion, add the lemon juice and grated ginger to a jar. This can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
To make the drink add 3 tbsp of infusion and 1 tsp of honey to a mug and a splash of whisky if using the pour over boiling water. Add more infusion, honey or whisky to taste.
Beautiful shot, Emma….happy new year:)
Thanks Roger. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2016. Been meaning to ask….did Capture One grow on you or are you still a PS devotee?
