Just a quick one to wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2015!
Salt to me is a magical and under rated kitchen essential which seems strangely cleansing with its sparkling white crystals so I thought it fitting to mark the end of one year and the eve of the next with a shot of my favourite Christmas gifts!
Hope you all feasted with your loved ones and that Santa bought you lots of lovely things – I was lucky enough to get not one but two hand made salt pigs by Natalie Bonney Ceramics made here in my hometown of Falmouth.
A massive thank you to everyone who has stopped by Fork and Pixel this year and for the words of encouragement on my blogging journey – apologies that this last post of 2014 is a lowly iphone shot – I left the big camera at home for fear of being over limit on my baggage allowance!

Very good looking salt pigs…I still use an old Stilton jar that I’ve had since God was a boy. What’s funny is that I don’t like Stilton particularly so I can’t imagine where it came from:)
I suspect I would be better served by a closed vessel as we have a bit of damp in the kitchen at present but youve just reminded me that I too have a stilton jar despite loathing the stuff so that may be plan b!
